Position: Lead QA Tester (FPS)
Location: Woodland Hills, CA
Neversoft Entertainment, located in Woodland Hills, CA, is currently seeking an experienced Lead QA Tester to work on new action shooter game.
Responsibilities:
- To test pre-release video game code in various stages of development cycle and in various forms of media delivery. To be aware of 1stParty standards and requirements, and to test game functionality, content, data, performance and stability on a regular basis
- Interface with Neversoft QA Dept Manager and rest of QA Lead testers, and QA test team. Additionally interface with Neversoft Production teams and Programmers as required, reporting any problems or potential problems with game code or hardware to the appropriate personnel
- Supervise testers to look for and search for bugs either using checklists or by adhoc testing, and to be able to assess and report back to the QA Manager the progress and abilities of testers. To assist in the training of new and current testers making them aware of the testing process and any changes to game code or code delivery as needed
- Log, search for and write up clear and concise bugs in Project database and compile reports, written or verbally, on the current state of game code and progress of testing implementation to any of the above mentioned personnel or teams
- Have the ability to multitask and work on multiple problems and tasks simultaneously
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years QA testing or TRG testing experience
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Great work ethic and dedication, attention to detail and good initiative
- Strong interest in video games
- Hardcore game
- Ability to learn quickly and effectively and to remain focused in a fast paced team environment
- Knowledge of current video game consoles, knowledge of PC and use of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to work a flexible schedule as needed. Overtime and weekend work will be required
- Understanding of video game development process
- Knowledge of bug tracking database Devtrack, Devtest, Hansoft or other bug tracking software
