Game Tester Job Openings – How To Look and Apply For One

1

Lots of people have been raving about receiving weekly checks for playing video games. But hardly anything has been said about how one exactly goes about looking for game tester job openings and applying for the job. Here are two ways you can go about if you are looking for game tester job openings.

Option #1 – Job Databases

You may apply for membership at some game testing job sites. Be aware of fly-by-night operators. You can always use the search engines and visit gaming community forums to find out if a website is the real deal. Note that membership is not an assurance that you will get hired. You will have access to valuable game testing resources to hone your game testing skills, as well as tips on how to improve your resume. You will also have access to a database of game tester job openings. This is the easier of the two options.

Option #2 – Direct Company Application

Game developers are in constant need of game testers. You can either try your luck at unsolicited job application by ringing the company yourself (tip: call the Quality Assurance department, not Reception) and submitting your resume. You can also visit gaming community forums and sites, be active and be on the lookout for ‘game testers wanted’ announcements. You can even start at beta-testing games for free and start building a reputation.

Game tester job openings aren’t all over, but you can find them, if you know how and where look. More importantly, don’t quit. A lot of people have made a success out of their video game testing gigs; it isn’t all that impossible for you to do the same.

You spend more on your gaming than you do on your girlfriend (and she lets you know about it). Now, the question is if you can make your hobby pay for itself. Even better, can you [...]

  • The Demand for Game Tester Jobs

Many people believe in the honorable work of a doctor of medicine, some are more inclined to the expression of the arts, music or theatre, but there are some, those probably luckier than many, who are simply paid to play video games for a living. Game tester jobs sound very appealing indeed. With the influx [...]

I am 16 yrs of age and i have been playing video games since the age of 3 1/2. I started playing on the Playstation then the Playstation 2, Xbox, Nintendo Wii and more recently the Xbox 360. Have plenty of experience playing the games and finding errors and glitches. I would report them except I do not know a phone number or email address of the companies that made the games. I am also looking for a Video Game testing job even it is temporary and low pay. I play Games when everything else is done and that doesn’t take long for me to start playing.

You have my email address so email me if you guys think i may have a chance or no chance of getting the job.
