BioWare is searching for a Quality Assurance Website Tester for our Austin, TX location. NOTE: This is an onsite contract/temporary position; no relocation assistance available.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in day to day testing of Website
• Finds and reports issues/bugs/inconsistencies
• Assists in the generation and execution of test cases.
• Evaluates issues reported both internally and externally
• Assists in the testing of the email system
• Verify feature consistencies and/or changes in multiple test environments
• Bug verification through the development life cycle
• Distinguishing bug ownership between Website and Platform issues
• Helps improve the web testing process
• Browser Compatibility testing
• Document new procedures and features being implemented
• Communicate w/ Developers regarding feature implementation and testing proceduresREQUIREMENTS
• 2+ year of software testing experience
• Ability to write detailed, accurate test plans
• Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks
• Self-starter who takes ownership, focus on continuous improvement, and excellent work ethic
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with a team and share knowledgePREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Drupal experience
• vBulletin experience
• Selenium Scripting or any Website Automation Testing Experience
• Experience with web add-ons (FireBug for example)
• Web Development / Design Experience
• Billing testing experience
• Experience with site security
• Familiarity with customer interactions on a website
• Willingness to learn coding languages
• MMO gamer/knowledge

Position: Quality Assurance Tester

Location: Hunt Valley, MD

Job Description:

e4e IE Services, Quality Assurance has openings for a QA Tester (Software testing including research, documentation and evaluation for various entertainment and educational software. Responsibilities include giving suggestions to developers for better marketability, writing up every possible type of software malfunction (bugs) found and including a final evaluation of a products readiness for the consumer market).

Job duties / responsibilities:

Provide an in depth study of software. Report any problems in software properly to team leads
Test products for glitches and product failures
Document defects or product failures in the standard bug writing format to be submitted in Bug City (an application developed specifically for e4e.)
Regress any product failures that were submitted for verification to the software developer. Regression is a process for determining the current disposition of an Open or Fixed bug in the latest version of a given product through recreating the exact circumstances as noted in each bug description
Perform multiplayer testing on all protocols and work cooperatively with co-workers in that environment
Accurately submit daily work time in Solomon (an application developed specifically for e4e employees)
Interact positively with fellow team members or other testers in the work environment

Skills required:

Basic knowledge of PC, MAC, and Console platforms
The understanding of computer troubleshooting and problem solving in real-time situations
Knowledge of multiple operating systems, computer platforms/configurations
Gaming knowledge is helpful (being aware of the various games and familiarity with the product)
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint and Publisher)
Internet Explorer
Some gaming experience
Working knowledge of a gaming platform (PC, MAC, PSX, N64, XBox, PS2).
