Game Tester Job Description:

  • Perform routine testing of our games before deployment and before patches and updates
  • Know the game inside and out and finding issues or flaws within the game
  • Write bug reports in a format where the procedure can be clearly understood by all parties
  • Use tools to monitor networking and game functionality
  • Assist in the monitoring of our online games and providing technical support
  • Collect, investigate, and process various data regarding in-game issues, exploits, and bugs

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
  • Must have completed High School Proficiency Exam with a strong passion for games
  • A strong dedication to user satisfaction, attention to detail, and technical aptitude with computers
  • The ability to execute processes to accomplish goals and tasks
  • Strong communication skills with motivation and team oriented
  • Hardcore gamers who have the ability to master a game in a short amount of time
  • Experience in the video game industry will be a plus

Position: QA Tester – Temporary
Location: Austin, TX
This position is a TEMPORARY assignment and will be working through our Staffing partner.
QA Tester 1
Requirements:
• Basic computer experience including knowledge of Outlook, Word, Windows
• Some experience in the game platform being hired for preferred (PC, console, hand held)
• Education – High School Graduate or equivalent
• Ability to follow verbal instructions
• Available to work ANY shift
• Knowledge of SOE Products – Preferred
• Knowledge of Video Games – Preferred
• Background in QA – Preferred
• 6 months related job experience – Preferred
• All Requirements are necessary to qualify for the position unless noted

Responsibilities:
• Comprehend and execute assigned Test Plans and Projects
• Report verified bugs to the QA Lead and bug database
• General game play testing
• Assure patches/updates, new builds and shipped products are functional and operate as intended
• Review and Document bug reports
• Follow SOE Tester procedures outlined by QA Training team
• Create Daily Reports on testing progress and status for the QA Lead
• Become proficient at the game assigned
